Tuesday 5th February

   Mended the computer!

I think it works now ....

Monday 26th February

Okay, I'm the first to admit it, I've hardly been conscientious about posting updates to this page recently.   Truth is, I've not had much to report, or indeed much to say.   But now I can bring you the joyous news that all is sweetness and light in the technical department, don't ask me how it all got sorted, 'cos I'm not entirely sure.   Hopefully I won't have to mention it again ....

So!   I've just recorded into the computer one of the previously-posited-as-postable live recordings, of a song called "Burn" of which I'm very fond.   Following a spot of squeezing and tickling, I'll be popping it on the website for all to hear!   Sorry about the delay, folks, that's just the way it goes I guess.   Hopefully within the week ....

And I'm going to start recording some more demos soon, probably not until mid-March now 'cos I'm really busy with ting and ting.   In a good way, 'cos I'm going into the studio with Solarflares this week to do some recording with them, which should be excellent.   Fine, fine band, top songs, great people.   What more can you ask for?   And then I've got various other production/engineering things booked in for the week or so after that.

That reminds me, let me just say that I think it's great that Delta are finally getting some recognition for their excellent music, apparently their recent album has received rapturous reviews all round, and is selling like the proverbial recently-baked comestibles.   Went to see them on Saturday, really enjoyed the gig.   Well done guys, keep it up!!

Sunday 4th March

Well, there you go - a nice shiny RealAudio version of "Burn", recorded live at the Old Railway, Curzon Street, Digbeth, on 28th November 2000, up on the site!.   Phew!   Some of us were thinking it would never happen ....

This week I've been busy with Solarflares down at DEP studios, Birmingham, doing a demo for a record label (who alas cannot be named), but fine taste they indeed do have, given their interest in the 'Flares.   Wouldn't it be nice if the really talented people got signed for a change?

Okay, after the next seven days are out of the way, I really am going to record that new demo.   It's only been two years since the last (and only) one!!   As I recorded it mere weeks after starting this whole solo acoustic thing, it should be interesting to see how things have developed in the meantime (hopefully they have, if not some serious explaining will be demanded!)   It's about time I had a new demo.
